Celebration of Colleagues Long Service 2022

On Friday 21 October, the Kettering General Hospital (KGH) Executive Team held a meet and greet event in the Board Room in Glebe House.  Celebrating colleagues who have reached NHS service milestones during 2022.

Colleagues were congratulated on their years of service to both the NHS and KGH.  They were thanked for their commitment, contribution, and dedication they have shown to our hospital during their career.

Executives including Debbie Needham Chief Executive and Paula Kirkpatrick Group Chief People Officer presented colleagues with mementos celebrating their NHS service milestones.

What colleagues had to say about working at KGH

On the day, we recorded a special podcast with some of our colleagues who attended the event. In the podcast you will hear from Michael our Mortuary Services Manager on how he started his career at our hospital.

What are the service milestones?

At KGH, the celebration of colleagues service schemes was paused due to Covid.  In 2022, we were pleased to bring back a Celebration of Service scheme.

The main milestone is at 25 years continuous NHS service. We have introduced secondary milestones at 30 years, 35 years, 40 years, 45 years, 50 years, 55 years and 60 years continuous NHS service.

Once a year, KGH will hold a Celebration of Service event to mark the above milestones.

In 2022, the event included colleagues who had not already received their award and achieved their 25 year milestone in 2020, 2021 and 2022.   Along with colleagues who celebrated the new milestones in 2022.
