From Monday 17 March Car Park D outside the Treatment Centre will be closed temporarily
While Car Park D is closed:-

The assisted parking bays on the road up to the Treatment Centre, Zone G, will be inaccessible

Patients will still be able to be dropped off/collected outside the Treatment Centre and at the entrance/exit of Zone C by Pathology Traffic marshals will be on duty during the day to assist drivers

Visitor parking spaces will not be reduced; however, some will be relocated to Car Park F

Staff parking will be redirected to other locations on-site.
During this time, traffic diversions will be in place and a system of two-way traffic will be in operation, where previously this was one way traffic. The road up to Pathology and behind the stores will be managed by traffic wardens during normal working hours to assist drivers and help ease the flow of traffic for visitors, staff and delivery vehicles. We understand this may cause some inconvenience, and we greatly appreciate your patience and understanding as we continue with our efforts to improve Kettering General Hospital’s infrastructure. This work is a key step in our commitment to Building a Better KGH.
We are committed to transforming our site to provide outstanding facilities for both visitors and colleagues. The first step in this journey is the construction of a new Energy Centre, which will play a crucial role in helping the hospital achieve its goal of reaching net carbon zero by 2040.
Work on the new Energy Centre is set to began in early September 2024. These works will be located at the bottom of the hospital site and requires Car Park D to be closed while it is dug up to accommodate essential utility pipe relocation. Anticipated works will last for eight weeks. As a result, we will be closing and moving some visitor and staff parking spaces to alternative car parks.
While these necessary changes and construction works may lead to increased traffic within the hospital grounds, we are working hard to minimise disruption and ensure that patient and visitor parking remains unaffected.
