Specialist Play Team

Within Paediatric (Children's) Services there is a well-established Play Specialist team who work hard to deliver and maintain a safe and welcoming environment. 

 

They provide a relaxed and caring approach towards any child entering the department. They have the skills to plan and be actively involved in the preparation, distraction and recovery of children before, during and after procedures or treatments.

 

They work closely with parents and carers to support children and young people striving to make their hospital experience a positive one.
