Event bookings

Health and Wellbeing events are designed to support you to self-manage from the time you receive your cancer diagnosis, during your treatment and with any long term effects. They are open to all Northamptonshire patients and in most cases their relatives and/or carers.

These events include:
  • Information days at the hospital
  • Wellbeing courses in the community
  • Online webinars and videos
While events are not currently available in light of the coronavirus pandemic you can still access health and wellbeing support online (see below), by speaking to your Clinical Nurse Specialist or calling the Macmillan Information and Support Service at Kettering General Hospital on (01536) 493888 or the Cancer Information Centre at Northampton General Hospital on (01604) 544211.

The Northants Cancer Guide provides information and support on a range of topics from help with practical needs through to emotional concerns with links to organisations that may be able to offer help.  There is also a Cancer Pathway Map setting out further information about how your treatment may progress and gives definitions to some of the medical terminology you may enounter.

Videos and webinars The Northants Cancer Information Hub is a library of videos and webinars presented and produced by healthcare professionals across the University Hospitals of Northamptonshire. The videos cover a wide range of topics designed to support you before, during and after treatment. You can access the YouTube channel  and subscribe to stay up to date with new content when it is added.

Information about all of our upcoming events can be found in our 2024 Health and Wellbeing event prospectus . You will be able to book online or by calling the cancer information centre on 01536 493888.
