Welcome poster

The purpose of this display is to provide more information to our neighbours about our plans and to show how we aim to reduce the impact of the new building on the local area.
Over the past year we have been dealing with the consequences of discovering RAAC in the roof of Rockingham Wing. We have had to relocate services from the building and delay plans to upgrade our Special Care Baby Unit and Bereavement Suite.
We have received funding to construct an extension to the building that will help address our accommodation issues.
The two-storey building will provide a new Special Care Baby Unit and Bereavement suite on the ground floor and a new 32 bed Maternity ward on the first floor. The new building will enable us to provide a much better care environment for our patients, built to modern health care standards.
We have recently appointed our Construction Partner – Integrated Health Project (IHP) and have recently submitted a planning application for the development.
Some of the images shown in the following slides may change as we move forward with our plans – we promise to provide regular updates.
