How to make out of hours requests
Complete form as normal and send to Lab. Staff will check the specimen reception area regularly to ensure work is being completed in a timely manner.
For Blood Gases, it is essential to bleep the on-call Biochemist on 138 before bringing specimen to the Lab. This will ensure the biochemist is aware and waiting to make sure it is done within 30 minutes of collection
