Raising funds for a new patient buggy

Kettering General Hospital launched the patient buggy service in July 2019.  This volunteer led service makes it easier for people with reduced mobility to reach their appointments safely and comfortably.

Known as CareForce1, it has transported thousands of patients to their appointments during this time.  After years of dedicated service, our outdoor buggy now needs replacing.

Earlier this week, our volunteers team held a bake sale and raffle in the main reception of our hospital.  From brownies and biscuits to lemon drizzle cake and pastries, we raised a fantastic £549.

Thanks to everyone’s kindness and support, we raised a fantastic £549.  This will go towards purchasing a new buggy for our patients.”

We were also delighted to be supported by local businesses who donated goods for the sale and raffle. These include but no limited to Mademoiselle Desserts Corby, Asda Corby, Tesco Corby and Morrisons Corby. Their generosity is greatly appreciated.
