Kettering General Hospital has introduced a new state-of-the-art way for patients to give feedback about their hospital experience. 

A charity which supports local families who have lost a baby has paid for a £17,000 refurbishment and expansion of Kettering General Hospital’s bereavement facilities.

Northamptonshire SANDS (the Stillborn and Neonatal Death Charity) has been supporting the improvement work since December last year – and it is now complete.

Kettering General Hospital’s Dermatology Department is opening for business in its new and improved off-site location from Monday, November 26.

The department has moved from its location on the main hospital site to Prospect House in Lower Street, Kettering -  where it will share premises with Eskdaill and Weavers medical centres and Rolands Pharmacy.

A new way of treating calcified heart arteries using sonic pressure waves has been performed at Kettering General Hospital for the first time.

This procedure is currently performed only at a few major heart centres in the UK and worldwide – and is probably the first one to be done in the East Midlands region.

It is proving to be a safer way of treating calcified heart arteries and is likely to become a standard approach.

Kettering General Hospital’s Midwifery Advocates are hosting their 30th Pregnancy and Baby Road Show providing huge amounts of useful advice in a one-stop shop open evening for parents-to-be. 

The event, on Wednesday, December 5, is being held from 6pm-8pm at The Hall@KGH (the recreation hall next to car park B at the main KGH site).
