New Treatment for Calcified Arteries Performed at KGH

A new way of treating calcified heart arteries using sonic pressure waves has been performed at Kettering General Hospital for the first time.

This procedure is currently performed only at a few major heart centres in the UK and worldwide – and is probably the first one to be done in the East Midlands region.

It is proving to be a safer way of treating calcified heart arteries and is likely to become a standard approach.

KGH Dragons commit £100k to make staff ideas for improvement a reality

A Dragon’s Den-style event at Kettering General Hospital has resulted in five key areas of the hospital benefiting from just under £100,000 in investment.

10 teams pitched their ideas for improving patient care and experience to five Dragons from the local business community who along with the audience picked the winning bids.
