The professional excellence of medical students, junior doctors and consultants at Kettering General Hospital has been celebrated with an annual award.

On June 13, 2019, the hospital held its fourth Trainee & Trainer Professional Excellence Awards at the Kettering Park Hotel in Kettering.

The awards are a way for the hospital to say a ‘big thank you’ for the contributions made by medical staff towards patient care, education and training – and this year an amazing 650 nominations were received.

Kettering General Hospital has launched a new procedure to help speed up the diagnosis of lung cancer and serious infections.

On June 4, 2019, the hospital performed its first endobronchial ultrasound guided biopsy using a £160,000 ultrasonic bronchoscopy system.

Kettering General Hospital is officially opening its £1.8m new Maxillo-Facial and Orthodontic Unit on Friday, June 7, 2019.
