KGH signs Armed Forces Covenant

Kettering General Hospital has signed a covenant pledging its support as an employer and health organisation to the Armed Forces.

 Today (Monday, June 3) KGH Chairman Alan Burns signed the Armed Forces Covenant on behalf of the hospital and Lt Col Keith Spiers signed on behalf of the Armed Forces.

Kettering General Hospital is officially opening its £1.8m new Maxillo-Facial and Orthodontic Unit on Friday, June 7, 2019.

The new unit has doubled the size of the department and expanded and significantly improved services for patients – and staff - and enabled the Trust to address increased demands on the service.

KGH comes out of special measures after improved CQC report

Kettering General Hospital has come out of special measures after a Care Quality Commission (CQC) published today (May 22, 2019) found it had made significant improvements.

The CQC’s report describes how the hospital has progressed to the point where all areas inspected have been rated as either good or requires improvement.

Nurse and Nursing Associates Awards

International Return to Practice Nurses receive their awards from Director of Nursing and Quality, Leanne Hackshall and Chief Executive, Simon Weldon

Kettering General Hospital held an awards ceremony on May 9 to celebrate the achievements of its nurses and nursing associates.

The Graduation Award Ceremony - held at the Kettering Park Hotel - involved presentations to more than 75 staff including various kinds of nurses in training over the last year and their mentors.

Some of KGH’s vitally important Operating Department Practitioners are promoting their role

Kettering General Hospital is celebrating the vital role of some of its lesser known staff on national Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) Day, Tuesday, May 14.

Our Operating Department Practitioners will be holding an information stand in our main reception from 9am-5pm and be on hand to explain more about their essential role in our operating theatres.
