Kettering General Hospital has achieved a nationally recognised – and difficult to achieve - quality standard for the way it collects information about joint replacement surgery.
It has been awarded – for the second year running - the National Joint Registry (NJR) Quality Data Provider Award certificate for the scrupulous way in which it gathers and submits information to support a national safety system for joint replacements.
The NJR is a national body which collects data from all NHS and private providers in the country who fit hip, knee, ankle, elbow or shoulder joint replacement joints.

An amazing midwife from Kettering General Hospital has received a DAISY Award for the outstanding, compassionate, and sensitive care she gave to a mum.
Emma Duxon was nominated for her award by a grateful mum after supporting her through pregnancies which had difficulties associated with them.
The DAISY Awards are an international recognition programme that honours and celebrates the exceptional care that many nurses and midwives provide every day.

The use of high-tech training manikins and ‘real-life’ scenarios for staff end-of-life care training has led to a Kettering General Hospital team being shortlisted for a top national award.
The Palliative Care Team have been shortlisted for a Nursing Times Award in the Enhancing Patient Dignity category of the 2022 awards - due to be held in London on October 26.
The hospital has a unique end-of-life care training package - developed by KGH Palliative Care Nurse Specialist Jan Murts - which uses scenario training and high-tech simulation manikins to help staff experience and learn from the many considerations and stresses involved in end-of-life care.

Kettering General Hospital has had two of its internal initiatives shortlisted for a national award for the way it works to make patient safety, and kindness and respect between staff, a top priority.
The hospital is in the finals of the HSJ Patient Safety Awards 2022 in the changing culture category for a shared learning initiative called Yokoten and one to promote kindness, goodwill and civility, called Compassionism.
