KGH is calling for local residents to have their say in the future of our hospital by standing for election as a Public Governor. 

Anyone from across Northamptonshire (Kettering, East Northants, West Northants, Corby, Wellingborough areas) can stand for election to become a Public Governor in their local area if they are over 16.

Upcoming Industrial Action will have a serious impact on local NHS services

The British Medical Association (BMA) has announced that junior doctors will take part in strike action from 7am on 11 August until 7am on 15 August 2023.

The last round of Junior Doctors strike action had a significant impact on local services across the county with more than 1,200 appointments and procedures needing to be rescheduled.

County's surgical robot has supported 250 life-saving operations

Surgical Robot Consultant Urologists Mr Hemant Nemade and Prasanna Sooriakumaran and Cons Anaest Sada Chinniah

A state-of-the-art surgical robot has now been used to perform 250 life-saving cancer operations to help improve care for cancer patients.

The University Hospitals of Northamptonshire NHS Group – which runs Northampton and Kettering general hospitals – has invested in the £1.7m Surgical Robot as part of its clinical strategy.

Dying Matters: Let’s talk about it!’ a chance to speak to end-of-life experts at KGH

A chance to learn more about death and dying with end-of-life experts from Kettering General Hospital is available at a public online event.
 
The free online event is on Tuesday, July 18, from 2pm-3pm, and is one of a series of events – open to all in the county – which has been arranged by KGH Public Governors.
