A Maternity Wellbeing Festival is being held at Kettering General Hospital this month to support parents-to-be and new families.

The event is being held at the Recreation Hall (The Hall@kgh) next to car park B at Kettering General Hospital on Thursday, August 24, from 6pm-8pm

KGH is calling for local residents to have their say in the future of our hospital by standing for election as a Public Governor. 

Anyone from across Northamptonshire (Kettering, East Northants, West Northants, Corby, Wellingborough areas) can stand for election to become a Public Governor in their local area if they are over 16.

Kettering General Hospital has just opened a £250,000 newly refurbished breast screening room to help support the 14,000 women it screens for cancer each year, and the symptomatic breast imaging we perform.

A state-of-the-art surgical robot has now been used to perform 250 life-saving cancer operations to help improve care for cancer patients.

The University Hospitals of Northamptonshire NHS Group – which runs Northampton and Kettering general hospitals – has invested in the £1.7m Surgical Robot as part of its clinical strategy.

The British Medical Association (BMA) has announced that junior doctors will take part in strike action from 7am on 13 July until 7am on 18 July 2023 and hospital consultants will strike for 48 hours from 7am on 20 July.
