Three healthcare assistants at Kettering General Hospital have won ROSE Awards for delivering outstanding care and support.

The tragic death of a schoolteacher from a cardiac arrest has inspired hospital nurses to offer basic life support training for primary schools for free.  

Kettering General Hospital launched the patient buggy service in July 2019.  This volunteer led service make s it easier for people with reduced mobility to reach their appointments safely and comfortably.  

The University Hospitals of Northamptonshire (UHN) has showcased its front-line digitalisation initiatives to national NHS leaders and demonstrated how they benefit patients and staff. 

Kettering General Hospital has commenced enabling works for a state-of-the-art extension to its maternity unit to offset the impact of RAAC concrete. 

A year on from the start of work in March 2025 the foundation works for Kettering General Hospital’s £57m new Energy Centre are progressing at pace.  

We have made the decision to pause our home birth services, operating from Kettering General Hospital. The decision follows a review of our home birth services across University Hospitals of Northamptonshire, which highlighted some challenges for the service. 

Two of our amazing midwifes and a nurse have received DAISY Awards to mark their outstanding contributions to patient care.

The University Hospitals of Northamptonshire (UHN), which is made up of both Northampton General and Kettering General Hospitals, are running a free online event to show what support is available for the LGBTQ+ armed forces community within Northamptonshire.
