This is an opportunity to highlight FTSU and the work which is going on in our Trust to make speaking up a part of our everyday life
.
We’re celebrating FTSU at KGH across the month with awareness information aimed at staff, including a FTSU alphabet.

During last year’s Freedom to Speak Up month, we planted a tree to mark this occasion. James Allen, FTSU Champion and Head of Patient Experience and Involvement said "We planted the tree last year to show how as a Trust, we're embedding the roots of an open culture".

This year, our Group Chief Executive Simon Weldon unveiled the plaque that accompanies the tree.

At the unveiling Simon commented "Since last year, there are more people speaking up and there are many more of our KGH community coming forward to do this".

The ceremony was attended by many of our Freedom to Speak Up Champions. Simon added "You have all made these changes happen within our Trust. Thank you for all you’re doing. It’s hugely appreciated."

For the last two weeks of Freedom to Speak Up month, we're lighting up Thorpe House in green. This is the home of home of our FTSU Guardian, Susan Clennett and our governance offices.
