Join Simon Weldon (Group Chief Executive) on Christmas Day from 3pm on KGH Radio as he talks about his favourite music.
Our friends at KGH Radio are launching a brand new show - KGH Castaways. This is the first of an occasional series of informal chats with staff at KGH.
Simon will be the first special guest on the premier show and will chatting to Steve Bellamy, Station Manager at KGH Radio.
“KGH Radio was re-launched in January this year. At the launch event I was speaking to Simon about his fantastic support behind the re-launch of the station” says Steve. “At that event, Simon mentioned how he’d like to be a guest on a Desert-Islands-Discs style show.
“We quickly arranged a recording session with Simon following that event. Due to the pandemic, this was pushed from a recording date in February to one in June; and then eventually a December recording date”

KGH Radio plan for KGH Castaways to be an occasional series. Up-coming guests including Jayne Chambers, Head of Strategic Corporate and Community Fundraising for the KGH Charity Fund and Debbie Needham, the newly announced Chief Hospital Executive for KGH.
Tune into KGH Radio on-line from 3pm on Christmas Day to hear Simon’s song choice and his luxury item.
We don’t want to give any spoilers, but we do know that Simon’s choices will include a Swedish quartet.
