KGH Radio Officially Launched!
Yesterday evening (January 27th) our Chief Executive, Simon Weldon and Chair of the Charitable Funds Committee, Janet Gray celebrated the official launch of our hospital radio with our amazing volunteers who have made this happen.
Having a hospital radio station provides our patients and their families with another form of entertainment and perhaps more importantly a means of letting people know they are thought about through the requests service the radio provides. It’s also another route for us at the hospital to keep in touch with our local community.
Staffed entirely by volunteers, the radio station is a great example of partnership between us and our community and has enormous potential with developments in technology to expand its reach.
We would like to thank especially Steve, Ash and Wendy of KGH Radio for their perseverance, our IT team and estates and our KGH Charity Fund for helping to make it real.
