Come & Support Crazy Hats 17th Annual Breast Cancer Walk on May 19th

The poster gives details of the walk on 19 May 2019

Help us support the Crazy Hats Breast Cancer charity at their next fundraising walk at Wicksteed Park on May 19th (10.30a.m. start)

Crazy Hats have been supporting KGH for over 17 years. In fact their first fundraising drive was to support the costs of setting up a breast care unit at KGH; raising £20,000 initially and actually donating a cheque for £100,000 for this particular project, with many more projects and donations to follow.

Established in 2001, the charity supports people in Northamptonshire whose lives have been affected by breast cancer. The charity currently offer support across the county to both Kettering and Northampton general hospitals.

Crazy Hats have continued to support KGH by generously donating just under £1 million.

The charity offer weekly support groups, complimentary therapy treatments as well as running a holiday home.

It’s “people” that matter to the charity. “We go to extraordinary lengths to offer support and guidance to those who need it” says Glennis Hooper, founder of Crazy Hats.

One of the ways that Crazy Hats raise funds is to hold their regular sponsored walk at Wicksteed Park. Adults £10.00 / U.16’s £6.00 (not £7.00 as stated on the entry form).

Last year’s walk attracted over 1,700 walkers and their dogs and an amazing £50,000 was raised through sponsorship. All funds raised were used to support hospital projects (including those at KGH), the holiday home and the charity’s own support and therapy services.

So, for Walk No. 17, put on your trainers, wear pink and join the Crazy Hats on Sunday, 19 May 2019 at 10:30am at Wicksteed Park! (Hats this year will be provided by Avon Ltd.)

More information about the walk and how to enter can be found on the Crazy Hats website.
