Find out how KGH coped with Covid and about future plans

A chance to find out more about how Kettering General Hospital coped during the Covid-19 pandemic – and learn about our other achievements over the last year – will be available online on September 30.

For the first time in its history the Trust is having a virtual Annual Members’ Meeting that anyone with internet access can attend.

After that meeting the Trust will also be holding a virtual Thank You event for staff for their work during the coronavirus pandemic along with our normal annual Employee Excellence and Long Service Awards.

As part of that celebration the Trust is airing a short video we made to demonstrate how staff worked through Covid-19.

While the staff awards are private the video itself will be available publicly through KGH’s Facebook page www.facebook.com/kgh.nhs.uk/ from 4pm and it will give local people an insight into how our teams met the enormous challenge of Covid-19. It will also be aired during our virtual Annual Members’ Meeting which is being held from 3pm-4pm on Wednesday, September 30. (We will post details of this link nearer the time)

Kettering General Hospital’s Chief People Officer, Mark Smith, said: “September 30 is a day when we are saying thank you to all of our dedicated teams for their work during the pandemic – and some of their other outstanding achievements over the last year.

“As part of our celebrations we will screen a compelling short video we made that tells the story of KGH’s response to Covid-19.

“Many people will not be aware of the scale of the changes we had to make or the speed with which we had to make them.

“The video highlights how we did this and give people a real insight into life on the front-line during the peak of the pandemic.”

The virtual Annual Members’ Meeting is from 3pm-4pm and you will be able to access it from a link that will be made available on the KGH Facebook page or KGH Website from September 23.

At the event you will be able to learn about the hospital’s achievements, and challenges, over the last year and our plans for the future.
