HC Pretty Ward
HC Pretty Ward is a medical ward which specialises in Diabetes and Endocrinology.
The ward is divided in to two, HC Pretty A which is the female ward that consists of 18 beds including 3 side rooms, and HC Pretty B which is a male ward which consists of 17 beds including 2 side rooms.

The Ward sister is supported by four deputy sisters, registered nurses and healthcare assistants. It also includes an administration assistant, doctors assistant, a discharge co-ordinator, ward clerks, housekeepers, activities co-ordinator, therapy and support teams. Diabetic nurse specialists and Diabetic foot specialists also visit the ward on a regular basis.
Information for Patients
Please bring in all your current medications in labelled boxes along with a supply of day and night wear including slippers and outside footwear. We try to encourage our patients to spend time out of bed during the day, wearing day clothes where possible and safe to do so. Together with a supply of toiletries – although a limited supply is available from the hospital shop.
Please do not bring valuables or large amounts of money into hospital with you as the Trust cannot accept responsibility if these personal items get lost or damaged.
You will be issued with an admission pack when you arrive on the ward, this contains leaflets and information for patients and relatives.
