Nominations opened on September 21 and all nominations were returned by October 7.

The poll opened on 22 October and closed on 16 November 2021 and the results were announced on 17 November 2021.

Governors work in partnership with the Board of Directors to help shape the Trust’s plans for the future and ensure we deliver high quality services to local people. They are also responsible for appointing the Trust’s Chair and Non-Executive Directors, and subsequently holding them to account for the Trust’s performance.

As a Foundation Trust Kettering General Hospital has a Trust Board made up of Executive and Non-Executive Directors accountable to the Council of Governors who represent the local area.

The role of a Governor is to help ensure that the Trust delivers services that meet the needs of patients, carers, staff and local stakeholders, and that the views of local people are heard and fed back to the Board of Directors. Governors act as a representative for their area and provide a direct link between the Trust and their local community.
