KGH welcomes new recruit Aneesha Mathew

797 Aneetta Anjel Aneesha and Aleena Mathew with their mother Joby Shibu Mathew
Welcome to our new recruit Aneesha Mathew – one of four quadruplet sisters who have all followed in their mum’s footsteps and joined the NHS.

Aneesha, 21, has just joined KGH as a physiotherapist and is already donning full PPE and working in intensive care supporting our patients.

After training at the University of East Anglia she chose to work at KGH because we have developed a very varied and supportive programme for new graduates - it is the first time she has been separated from her sisters.

The family made national headlines today in the Daily Mail and Daily Mirror with their inspirational story of a family dedicated to supporting patient care in the NHS.

Aneesha said all of her sisters – Aneetta, Anjel and Aleena – were inspired to join the NHS by seeing how much their mum, Joby Shibu Mathew, a nurse in the oncology department at Ipswich Hospital, enjoyed her work.

Her sisters now all work at the Royal Papworth Hospital in Cambridge as nurses after completing their studies at the University of Suffolk, where their mum was also a student.

Welcome Aneesha. It is so inspiring to see a family who are doing so much for the NHS.
