Apprenticeships
At Kettering we run a successful apprenticeship programme that offers career pathways in a wide range of hospital based jobs like Business Administration to Estates apprentice. We work with in conjunction with nationally recognised governing bodies and provide support right up to level 7 apprenticeship which is the equivalent to a master’s degree.
Many of our employees started in our apprentice scheme and continue to take on further educational challenges to complete their career goals and aspirations. For more information see Best of Both Worlds.

I chose to do an apprenticeship instead of university as although you’re learning you end up coming out of it in debt which I didn’t really like the idea of, I wanted to learn but also be earning money at the same time and I felt that as Kettering General Hospital is a learning hospital that it would be a good choice to get an apprenticeship here. I was always interested in the business aspect side of things so I applied and luckily got to work here.
