Number of children and young people receiving treatment for eating disorders

I would like to find out how many children and young people have received treatment for eating disorders for the last 4 years.

The data provided above have been identified as a result of patient being admitted with a primary or secondary diagnosis of an eating disorder for the years requested.

I would also like to find out the ages of the individual children treated in each year or if this is not possible how many children aged

a) under five

b) five to seven

c) eight to nine

d) 10 to 12

e) 13 to 15

f) 16 to 18

were treated in each year.

Due to the small number of patients identified in this response, further information relating to the patients age will not be released under Section 40 (3(a.ii) of the Freedom of Information Act 2000, as releasing this information may lead to the undue stress of families and patients as this information may still lead to patients being identified.  Therefore this information has not been released for reasons of confidentiality; compliance with the Data Protection Act 1998 and by virtue of the exemptions contained in section 40(3) of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 as the Trust believes that providing the information would be in breach of the 2^nd and 6^th Data Protection Principles.
